BFF2003's
Widescreen Weekend - which this year runs to four days
welcomes all those fans of large format and widescreen films
to the 50th anniversary celebration of CinemaScope
with a generous helping of 70mm and Cinerama. We are delighted
to screen a new print of The Robe, the first
CinemaScope title and starring Jean Simmons, as well as Search
for Paradise, one of the outstanding Cinerama titles
we haven't screened. We have expanded the base of seminars
and other events to increase the understanding of the science
and culture of widescreen - with some special objects for
visitors to see.
